It gave a nice feel to the cast as real people rather than people that you just enjoy watching having sex.

Audio Quality: Dolby Surround. I suppose it stands to reason that if a company goes as far as to have Dolby Surround sound, they're going to pay attention to it so that it's good. As always, there are a couple small problems, but nothing that interfered with my enjoyment of the film. One scene showed some obvious dubbing.

Video Quality: Above average. Most of the film is very clear, however there are a couple spots that are a little grainy but that's it.

Music: Composed by Saint. I've watched a couple of movies with Saint's music, and it's some of the best and most fitting music out there. I actually pay attention during the credits if I think there's a chance for Saint music. The only thing I disliked about the music in Fire & Ice is that there was a beeping that was part of the music that sounded like one of those musical electronic children's toys. It was often enough that it seemed intentional, but it stood out as being weird.

Initial Expectations: Medium. Adam & Eve has put out a few really good DVDs, but most of the ones I've seen lately have left a lot to be desired.

Initial Reaction: WOW! There wasn't much of a story, but other than that, it's one of the best put together DVDs I've watched of late and has some really well done sex scenes.

Review: As I just said, and I know that I am not alone in this opinion, Adam & Eve has put out some extremely low quality DVDs. They have used some extremely popular stars, but the audio and video quality have lacked. They also had some of the worst extras out there. Recently, they have released a 'Premium Collection' line of DVDs where they hope to correct this opinion of their DVDs. 'Fire & Ice' is the first of the 'Premium Collection' DVDs I have had a chance to view, and if it is typical of what we can expect from Adam & Eve from now on, I'm going to be watching for other Adam & Eve 'Premium Collection' DVDs.

'Fire & Ice' revolves around a group of artists getting ready for a rapidly approaching art show. The entire movie is narrated by Tabitha (Keri Windsor) who gives a little background on each artist. Unfortunately, that's about as close as we get to a plot. On the plus side, however, using the art show as a theme to build the movie around works great for bringing in a lot of unique sex scenes and situations.

We open with Charlotte (Sydnee Steele) visiting Stewart (Evan Stone). Stewart welds sculptures, and Charlotte thinks she has something to raise his exhibit to the next level. Stewart mostly ignores her as she talks, and even as she strips. He finally notices her after she lights the alcohol she poured around him and his sculpture and then starts waving a flaming sword around her. (In the behind the scenes, she talks about how this is part of her normal act. NOTE TO SELF: Go see Sydnee Steele if she ever performs at any nearby club!) She then starts blowing fire, and rubbing it over her body. This leads into a very well done scene between Charlotte and Stewart including anal. This scene has some of the best cinematography that I've seen in an adult film. Throughout the scene, we flip back and forth between the sex and fire. Often we see the sex superimposed over fire. Talk about a hot scene!

Next, we see Alyssa (Charlie) who has been working day and night on her sculptures. Tabitha (Keri Windsor) stops by to see how her sculptures are progressing. This turns into a pretty good 'Ghost' rip - off with Keri and Charlie smearing clay all over each other. As much as I didn't like the idea at first, it turned into a pretty hot scene, complete with toys for those who like that.

Third is Kara, who paints watercolors. Her models Stewart (Evan Stone) and Vivian Valentine take a break which she decides to join. I'm not sure which actress plays Kara, as the biographies and credits did not like her. By process of elimination she was played by either Jessica Drake or Alexa Rae. It doesn't really matter as she didn't really partake in the scene. The scene was almost all Vivian and Evan. This is another scene which shows why a lot of people are noticing Vivian Valentine. She does another good job here and takes it up the ass like a pro (which I guess she should, being a pro). Thankfully, Vivian is positioned so that most of the time you don't see her huge tattoo on her stomach.

Tara Patrick does a great job in the next scene with Brick Majors. Tara is struggling artist who is worried about the show. Brick does his best to comfort her in his own way in a back alley. This is the first scene with Tara that I've seen, and I know it won't be the last. Tara's did a good acting job and has a great body and real tits, for the few of you who haven't seen her yet. The scene feels tender, yet is still quite hot and I was almost surprised when it finished with a facial. The only problem I could find with this scene is that a lot of the audio seemed pretty obviously dubbed.

Tara isn't the only artist who's worried about the show. Mark Davis's girlfriend (either Jessica Drake or Alexa Rae, whichever didn't play Kara earlier) is also worried about the stiff competition, which they discuss on the deck on the day of the show. Brandon Iron and Brick show up and they have some champagne on the deck. Mark and his girlfriend go inside, and shortly after they start to get intimate, Brick and Brandon decide that they've had enough of watching from outside and decide to join it. This was your typical gang bang scene, with nothing really outstanding about it. I was a little disappointed since I felt that if the girl is already taking it up the ass and doing 3 guys, it's the perfect time for a DP. Alas, there is no DP here. Tabitha (Keri), does walk by outside, and watches for most of the scene.

After the three guys blow their loads, we finally get to see Tabitha's masterpiece - a full size ice sculpture of a man. This turns out to be the most interesting scene that I've seen in a long time, as Keri starts to make love to her creation. The sculpture has a cock as big around as her arm at the start of the scene, which I'm sure any women who watch this are relieved to see melt down to a manageable size by the time she gets that far. Keri does a great job throughout this scene, and it's as close as we're likely to get for a b / g scene from Keri for a while, as she only works with women. I don't really want to go into any details on this scene, as words can't really do it justice.

There are very few negatives about 'Fire & Ice'. The audio is dubbed in one scene, but otherwise sounds clear. My main complaint would have to be the lack of a plot. There's a nice framework, but no real plot to the movie.

Raincoat Factor: Medium

Overall: I highly recommend this DVD. The movie doesn't have much of a plot, but the sex is hot enough to make up for it. Keri Windsor, Sydnee Steele, and Tara Patrick all give great performances. The audio and video quality are also above average. Adam & Eve has put some decent extras on the disc, most notably a very nice behind the scenes which should not be skipped. The only thing that could have made the DVD better would have been a commentary track, but don't let that stop you from picking this one up.
