This one should be titled "Fingering" as there was more of it than anything else. The camera angles were poor. You spent a lot of time looking at the top, back, or side of a girl's head. When a shot was of the "nitty-gritty", it didn't last long. The girls never got fully undressed (shoes on the bed is a turnoff) and thus reality was lost. Prinzzess never gives her fair share.

I really think this is about the best lesbo series on dvd. Like the other reviews, I too find it refreshing NOT to have tattoos and piercings. I like the little story line with each scene. I plan on renting the whole series. I hope they continue to make more......

There are three reviews here (including the one from jayo) and we get one bad, one fair, and one great review. It's hard to know what to think. Well, I rented it after carefully reading jayo's review and I'm glad I did. I really liked it. Friend77 has an issue with the underwear and I had no problem there. And I did like the whole 50s feel to the film. The innocence of some of the girls played well. I'm not sure what Lightstorm's issues with GFF films are, but I can't see complaining about the cast NOT being diverse. We have a pretty diverse group here.

RayVeness is pushing 40 but has huge tits. Zoë Britton is over 30 and sort of heavy but pretty and stacked. Kimberly Kane is slim and pale. She is cast as a young girl even though she is in her late 20s. Victoria White, a tall model-like blonde, is new to me and I always appreciate a fresh face. Faye, Ashlyn and Prinzzess are beauties and I love seeing them on the screen.

My own issue with GFF is that they always like to cast older women. As far as older women go, Rayveness isn't bad. However, she has two scenes: One with Ashlynn and one with Victoria. The scene with Zoë and Prinzzess was my favorite. I liked the way Zoë seduced Prinzzess and then Prinzzess who is usually pretty passive seems to really get into it. The last scene is with Faye and Kimberly and these girls really know how to make a good scene. My only complaint is using RayVeness in two scenes. Otherwise I really liked it and I'm putting #2 in my queue. A

Future generations will not hold dear the multiple tats, piercings and silicone globs of our current porn stars. That said, there is very little eroticism to recommend in the underwear of a previous era. In this period piece, the girls wear intimate garments from the fifties. There is a mild charge to garters and nylons, but pass on the other stuff. Girdles were originally designed to suppress a woman's sensuality, which as this movie shows, they do. It's a good cast, all with natural breasts and no tats, but the antique underwear diminishes their appeal. It's an interesting failure, but a failure nonetheless.

here we go again another easily forgetable offering from GFF. from the so called masters of erotic seduction,same women every single film and eventually leads to no arousal factor. no plot to speak of and terrible csmera angles.i dont understand why they dont have a diverse section of women to star in their movies instead of skinny young blonde chicks in every SINGLE FILM !!! i long for the day that some company out there will start making smart PLOT oriented girl/girl erotica. and unlike GFF will do just that and not just claim that they do.i give this movies one star out of 5

Pin-Up Girls is the latest (as I write this) series from Girlfriends Films. Unlike the Women Seeking Women or Lesbian Seductions lines, this one has a continuing cast and characters, and a thread of story which spools across each scene of the movie, and across each volume of the series. It's set up so that you can watch it like a soap opera, but each scene stands alone and you can zero in on "the good stuff" if you prefer. It's a great marriage between story and stroke scenes.

I normally don't care about plot, but since this is Volume 1, I thought I'd give it a try. The stars of this movie are all ladies lingerie models, and they're modelling stuff that will probably be published in department store catalogs. This is the 1950s, the I Love Lucy era, so there's a lot of lace, heavy embroidery, corsets, garterbelts and such. Rayveness, however, finds out that you can make a lot more money selling cheesecake nudie photos in the back of men's magazines. So she recruits her friends to shoot their own stock photos, at a lot more money than they're getting before.

Of course, some of the girls need some gentle persuasion, and it's just a small line to cross between a topless shot and two-girls posing together, and from simulated cuddling and kissing to real cuddling and kissing, and full-on lesbianism ensues.

There's also a second thread between the murky relationship between Rayveness and her innocent daughter, which will probably play out as the series goes on.

So much for the tedious plot summary. Four scenes, each about 1/2 an hour long (they vary). The first is a fantasy scene between Rayveness and Ashlyn Rae (playing Ray's daughter), followed by two scenes as the models screw each other (Prinzzess and Zoe Britton, and Rayveness with Victoria White), and capped off by Ashlyn Rae's snotty friend and what may be her sister (I was never sure), exploring their own lesbian side (Faye Reagan and Kimberly Kane).

The scenes look different but the content is mostly the same: they start out in lingerie and eventually end up naked. There's a lot of kissing and stroking. Sex is tongues and fingers, no toys or other appliances. The sex is explicit but it's on the gentler side?there's no sadism, the girls don't look like they're in pain or assume awkward positions, there's no gaping or bizarre insertions. There is a lot of vocal feedback, but it still looks realistic and convincing, as if the performers really were into it and getting off, not just putting on the same show they do at a strip club in the evenings.

There's also a nice mix of performers, even though they're all white. Rayveness is busty, Ashlyn Rae is bee-stings, the others are a mix in-between. There are two blondes and various shades of brunette. All are very pretty, and they all look damn good in lingerie. If you ever associate a lacy white bra with your grandmother, you may reconsider when you see the kind of bodies these things were originally designed for.

Production values: It's up to the usual high GF standard. The video is clean and bright, and the sound is excellent. There's no annoying music track. There are only four chapters off of the main menu, but there are a lot of submenus so you can easily skip to your favorite parts. GF titles always seem to be made by people who care about quality of their product, and this is an excellent example.

Final verdict: I love it. It's my favorite of Girlfriends Films series and I'm happy I've got the beginning of it. You can look at this two ways: you can think of it as a joke as the girls wear white lace corsets and bras like your grandmother wore; but a nice, white lace corset on an attractive woman looks damn good. In fact, if you're one of those people who's beating off to Betty Draper when she wears that old-fashioned lingerie on Mad Men: it's not old fashioned, it's hot. Girlfriends Films captures that here. If you're put off by the hip-hop, tatted-and-pierced-and-looking-for-your-next-hit-of-meth look, or even the tired "just fuck me and get it over with" scenes that are most porn flicks these days, then Pin-Up Girls is a breath of fresh air; at over two hours?it's actually a refreshing breeze.
