So we're up to Volume 6 of the Pin-Up Girls series. As with all of the recent Girlfriends Films series that I've seen, there are running storylines with continuing characters for those of you who care about plot. I don't and I haven't been following it, so I have no idea what's really going on with the story. The setting is somewhere in the 1950s and the Betty Page era, when the back pages of men's magazines (and some more mainstream) sold photo sets of "figure" and "art studies" and maybe something a bit harder if you asked nice. These are models from the era who decide to go in business for themselves, shooting cheesecake and softcore (i.e. lesbian) photos for the raincoat crowd. Models come and go as the cast changes.

It appears that Rayveness has broken my heart and is gone for good, replaced by Jelena Jensen who is capable of filling Rayveness's bra; Sara Stone is still around and Victoria White is back; so there's some continuity. As with other GF series, the DVD is structured so you can watch the scenes and follow the story if you want, or just skip right to the sex (which is why I have no idea what's going on with the script).

Four scenes, seven girls, all two-girl lesbian. Only Jayden Cole appears twice. There are no toys or machines, just fingers, lips and tongues.

Scene 1: Jelena Jenson and Taylor Vixen. Both are raven haired brunettes with largish breasts.
Aiden Ashley and Jayden Cole. Aiden has dark hair and small breasts, Jayden has medium brown hair and medium breasts.
Jayden Cole and Victoria White. Victoria is a small-breasted blonde.
Magadelen St Michaels and Sara Stone: both are brown-haired, Maggie's medium-boobed, Sara's busty as hell.
They're all very attractive, better than average porn-stars.

While it isn't exactly a fetish video, one of the main features of the film is the old-time lingerie (white bras, corsets, stockings and garters), so if you like women in that era lingerie, that's an added bonus. Just about everyone ends up naked at the end, but there's a lot of time in and getting-out-of lacey things with tiny hooks.

Special Features: as per usual in most GF DVDs, there are no "bonus" scenes nor the usually worthless photo set. Besides the trailers for other videos and the website ad, there is a nice little set of credits where every girl in the film is identified by photo and name so you know who someone is if you want to look for other appearances. That's a nice touch. If I were GF films, I'd suggest adding a list of other GF titles each performer appears in; e.g. if I want to see more of Jelena Jensen (and I do), it would tell me immediately what else she's in. I know I can go to the website (or here at ADT) to do it, but I'm lazy when I've got my cock in my hand.

Production values: are up to Girlfriends Films usual high standards; the video work is bright and clean and colorful; the camera is always where you want it and not jumping around, trying to be artsy or edgy or anything but erotic. Sound is crisp and clean and no annoying music. There are plenty of chapters so you can skip to or past something. It looks like it was made by people who enjoy their own products, and that it'll be watched more than once.

Final verdict: I was unhappy that Rayveness left, but I'm very pleased with Jelena Jensen, Sara Stone is a crowd pleaser, and the others all make me smile at some point or another. This is my favorite series from my favorite studio; it shows you can make a quality product that sells, that there's a place for something that's classy without being artsy, hot without being raunchy. I wish there were more like this.
