Five scenes, a variety of combinations of personnel and some typically voyeuristic camera angles make up the basis of the action as once again John Leslie's camcorder-wielding peeping tom character turns his lens towards various naughty scenarios, thoughtfully sharing his illicit pleasure with the viewing public.
Lidia & Elizabeth
Curvy blonde Lidia and her taller dark-haired pal Elizabeth arrive, rather inappropriately dressed, at some kind of workshop (used as a location by Christoph Clark as well as Leslie) and quickly get to grips with Nick Lang. Much panting and groaning ensues as the trio grope and probe each other, the girls giving him some oral before they head upstairs to a dorm-style bedroom (what kind of place is this?) where Nick takes each girl doggy style, their high heels waving behind them. Lidia then takes a ride on top of Nick, prior to his performing some fairly leisurely sodomy with Elizabeth. Lidia gets her turn at anal too, lying more or less flat out so Nick can squeeze his cock between her full cheeks.
Both girls jump to attention as Nick nears climax and, with a little lick and some wrist action from Elizabeth, a small load is coaxed from his dick. Sorry to say that I found this scene distinctly arousing - it goes on rather long and the performers, while I can imagine they enjoyed themselves, give out little to the camera. I'm the last one to ask for exaggerated, unnatural performances, but I found little to involve me here. I admit the fact that I found neither of the girls particularly attractive is a contributing factor in this view.
Tommi Rose
The Voyeur is skulking around behind the furniture in that house that's being overused by Porn Valley shooters right now, peering out at long legged, small busted, big assed Tommi Rose posing for pictures for Mr Marcus. She's clad, in the loosest sense of the word, in clinging shorts and a bikini top, her fine pins set off by heels. In a way it's hard to explain why this scene, which differs little in a way from the first, is so much better. One fewer participant, perhaps, and certainly no anal, but it's still about people fucking while being filmed by the same director. Well, it's just a feeling, I suppose, that comes from the fact that a smile is never far from her lips and there's a real sense, stemming from her little responses and the way Marcus touches her as they fuck (and let's be clear that this is still hardcore sex), that hey, they might really be into this, and that makes it a different proposition to me. The pop shot, one big streak over the top of her head, or so it seems, isn't perhaps such a success nor is the shooting - into the light, leaving the couple in silhouette - always technically perfect, but fuck it, I liked this scene.
Bree Brooks & Desert Rose
The two girls in this scene make an interesting contrast - Bree is tall, full figured and womanly, while Desert Rose is a mere slip of a girl, but rather sexy with it. The latter is bent over, sucking Mark Davis' cock as the scene opens. Bree marches over and more or less pushes the young girl away, so she can suck Mark herself. Desert Rose has to ask nicely to get a second chance. I can't tell you how good Desert Rose's silky thighs and pert ass look, perfectly set off by tight little shorts that are discarded way too quickly.
There's some pleasing, and half-way convincing, girl-girl contact as the scene builds up a head of steam, and Desert Rose, body so trim and tight with little cupcake titties, ends up with her face buried between Bree's thighs, thighs that are spread spectacularly wide. Her long legs are clad in high-heeled thigh boots, which are not to my taste, but they make her legs appear incredibly long. Again, there are just little things that appeal to me in this scene - as he takes the young girl, Mark spreads Bree's pussy so Desert Rose can have fuller access, and then later the way, as she feels Mark pounding inside her, Bree's hand idly brushes Desert Rose's pert bottom. Once more Desert Rose has to ask politely in her sweet little voice to taste Bree's pussy from Mark's cock, before she rims the buxom woman's ass as prelude to some earthy anal sex.
Ultimately, Mark looses off a load over the girls' faces - and no, he doesn't manage it without the aid of an edit - and they kiss with come-covered lips. Big-assed Bree won't be to all tastes, and for my own part I couldn't figure out her boobs (all real or paid for?) but I find myself appreciating her sensuality. Desert Rose is just a delight, though I am curious about her chest too. Some viewers will no doubt be disapproving of Mark's use of very mild (apparently consensual) choking on a couple of occasions, but all in all this is a varied scene with a satisfying dynamic among the performers and I certainly think well of it. Ironically, but perhaps not coincidentally, Desert Rose is also an extremely poisonous plant (Adenium obesum) originating from East Africa. So beautiful, but deadly. An irresistible combination, don't you think?
Tina Banks
John Leslie gives Tina another role in the first of a pair of Budapest located scenes that finish the movie. Curvy brunette Tina touches herself up, small, thick nippled breasts exposed from under her clinging, revealing dress, while watching the duo of Pascal and Sebastian working out in a gym, a duo who soon receive the benefit of her oral skills. However, the long, careful build up is rather wasted by a clumsy edit that jumps straight into the sex, as all of a sudden she's nude and riding on Pascal's dick. Tina is duly double penetrated before kneeling to receive more or less simultaneous loads of come splashing on her pale skin. It's not a bad scene, but like the first scene it just seems run of the mill, lacking any distinctive vibe or energy.
Cindy
A substantial part of the opening to this scene is shot entirely from the Voyeur's peeping tom view, and it gets slightly frustrating as I want to see exactly what's going on as tall blonde Cindy, who I can't place - sorry, terribly lazy, but there you go - arrives for a photo shoot in the next room, where she soon is exposed and gets right down to suck Csoky's cock. She's noticeably taller than the young guy and has a nice body to boot. The view switches more to conventional porno vision, as the pair move to a couch in the room John is spying from (it's another location well used by Christoph Clark), and Cindy bucks her hips as Csoky probes her soft, plump pink folds with finger and tongue. They enjoy some pretty pleasant sex, I guess, and they make an attractive couple, but again there's a lack of a particular feeling about it and I'd tend to suggest that neither is overburdened with an excess of charisma. It seems like quite a short scene, ending in time honoured fashion with Cindy taking Csoky's load on her tongue and the Voyeur doing a runner from the scene of the crime. Incidentally, the movie ends with "The End" when it usually says, "to be continued"is this really the end?
Overall
Distinctly mixed feelings about Voyeur 22, I must say, and for once I find the American scenes just so happen to have the edge on the European ones. Is it just me, however, or does this have the feeling of one of those Christoph Clark movies where he's doing a bit of clearing up, so to speak, by putting together a pile of scenes that have been gathering dust? Maybe that is unfair, because personally I liked the Tommi Rose and Bree Brooks/Desert Rose scenes more than expected. The rest is pretty forgettable, and I also have my doubts that my personal interest in certain aspects of the movie will translate into a broader appeal. Certainly John Leslie's style is something of an acquired taste. What I am not so sure about is that Voyeur 22 is the movie to help viewers acquire it.
DVD comments
A 26-minute chunk of extra footage, with more from each scene, is top of the bill in the DVD extras, which also include trailers, John Leslie text biography, promo for his blues band, photo gallery and filmography. A respectable selection, and when backed by the slick menus, tasteful graphics and some decent picture quality (not the best but good) and generally decent sound (some dialogue isn't so audible due to the way the movie is shot), then there's little to criticise in terms of the quality of the product.
