The Technical Stuff

Audio /Video Quality: The technical aspects are okay. The audio is clear and well balanced, and I didn't notice any background noises. The video is nicely presented in anamorphic widescreen. It has some nice care towards the lighting, but there was a touch of pixelation to the picture at times and the camera zooms and pans often seemed a little fast and jerky.

Menus: The main menu is extremely generic and gives a few clips from the movie with the title in way that seems not just generic, but also extremely cheap and careless. The chapter menu surprisingly shows a bit of care, and lets you choose a scene based on a small clip of each scene and the name of the girl in it.

The Feature

I won't deny that there's some nice female talent here, as every girl in the movie can turn out a great scene, and they all seem like they're trying to do so here as well. There's nice vocals, plenty of energy, and often some nice chemistry as well. The problem here is that the movie seems overly long and a touch generic. Every scene seemed like it could have been a lot tighter and more satisfying with at least five minutes cut out of it, and I rarely found myself really drawn into a scene. Halfway through the movie I realized that this largely seemed to be the fault of the editor and whoever was behind the camera, as I never got the feeling that anybody involved with making the movie was really into the action being captured. Nanny on the Job definitely seems to have potential, but it never seemed to know how to fully make use of it and seemed like its biggest concern was always that each scene lasted about a half hour with everything else being secondary.

The Extra Stuff

The photo gallery lasts about two and a quarter minutes with about five seconds per nice looking snapshot. There's also cumshot recaps and a behind the scenes featurette.

The behind the scenes featurette lasts about a minute and a half. You get a little of Lexi fucking and taking the pop before they try to do an alternate ending with her going for a phone call. There's a touch of eye candy here, but unless you're a fan of Lexi this is an easily skipped extra that doesn't add much to the overall movie.

Currently, many Twistys DVDs can be found online for between about $15 and $25 with most stores offering them near the lower end. Aim low here or rent this one first. There's some nice talent and plenty of potential for the movie, but the camera work and editing seemed so generic that it was hard to really get into the movie. The technical aspects show some decent care, and although there's a short behind the scenes featurette in the extras it's barely even enough to take notice of. This is a release with plenty of potential that never quite manages to harness it.

Note to Twistys: You have plenty of potential here, but please focus on the overall quality of a scene rather than having the main criteria be that it lasts approximately a half hour. If it's good at fifteen minutes, let it be fifteen minutes, and if it's so good that it works at fifty minutes let it be fifty minutes. Also, a little effort towards the extras would be good rather than the minor glimpse of a BTS that instead ends up being forgettable.
