The Technical Stuff

Audio /Video Quality: As usual with compilations, theres a little variation to the technical aspects. Since all of the scenes here are from fairly recent Smash releases, there isnt a lot of variation. The audio is normally well balanced, but there are a couple minor background noises. The video is clear and nicely done, but theres a little minor camera motion and lighting inconsistencies which pop up a couple times.

Music: Very little

Menus: The main menu has some nice animation and a bit of the feature. The chapter menu nicely lets you choose a scene based on the girls name and a still of her.

Mexicum collects scenes from six of Smashs releases that contain Latino chicks. The scenes get right to the scene, and never let you know where the scene came from.

Smashs listing a director for this release along with the appearance of the boxcover makes this look like a fairly deliberate attempt to make this look like a new release. That really bugs me, and definitely held back my feelings on this release. Mexicum has some hot sex, but it isnt the brand new release that it portrays itself as.

Currently, many Smash DVDs can be found online for between $14 and $24 with most stores offering them in the $20 range. At the low end, this ones a compilation worth the money. The sex is hot and theres a nice variety. The technical aspects are well done, but there isnt much effort put into the extras, as is normal with compilations. The only problem with this release is that it doesnt look like its a compilation checking out the boxcover.

Note to Smash Pictures: Its fine if youre going to put out compilations, but please do something to let the customer know that its a compilation. A simple Best of above the Smash logo would easily do it, and with this many good scenes in one release it should still have plenty of draw.
