The Technical Stuff

Audio /Video Quality: Although the technical aspects are never really crystal clear, with Tanya Hyde's style it's very hard to knock them. The audio goes from being fairly clear to being dubbed in, but never has even a hint of a background noise. The video starts things out on a high note, and gives the widescreen presentation the anamorphic transfer it deserves. There's a fair amount of grain which appears to have been added by filters, as well as artistic lighting and colored filters. The only thing which stands out to me as not looking quite right is the first scene on the second DVD, which looks like it wasn't framed quite right when transferred as it has an even black border around the entire picture.

Music: As usual with Tanya Hyde's movies, there's plenty of effort put into the music. It varies from being nicely balanced with the rest of the audio to completely dominating it, while also varying its style from classically styled music to techno. In every case, it works extremely well and helped to draw me into the scenes.

Menus: The main menu stays very simple with only a little animation leading into a still, but works in a style that seems perfect for Tanya Hyde. The chapter menu lets you choose a scene based on a text title for the scene while a few stills flash by above it.

The Feature

There's also quite a bit of effort put into the sets and fetishwear costumes that you just don't see used like they are here. That creativity and style is a big part of why I always look forward to checking out Hyde's work. Yes, it's artistic, but at the same time it's extremely sexual in a way that no other director seems to be able to manage. I'd have a very hard time picking which scene was my favorite, but I can say that Jane Darling really stood out among the cast in both of her appearances. I was also very impressed with Roxanne, who I hadn't seen before. As for negatives, the only complaint I really had was how limited Strapon Jane's role was in the third scene. Roxanne and Alicia both put more into the scene than she did, and with Hyde in charge I was more than a little surprised that Jane didn't take her strap-on to the guy. Even there, however, I can't really complain much as the scene still worked very well for me. Tanya Hyde's movies are as much about the art as they are the sex, and Orgazm Addictz worked as well for me as the rest of her movies have.

Currently, may of Evil Angels 2 DVD sets can be found online for between about $25 and $35, with a few stores offering them under $30. The only downfall to this double DVD set is that there's virtually no effort put into the extras. That said, the movie worked well enough that it almost didn't matter to me.
