Preview Expectations: Oh boy here we go again, another celebrity porn video. There is always some level of excitement for most of us to see a well known celeb get plowed on camera, especially a little prom queen heiress like Paris Hilton. I've been real dissapointed with most all of the other Celebrity porn vids I have seen since there usually ends up being very little actual sex and way too much babble in them to support value. I have not seen any of the web video that was and is rampant of parts of this movie, but I have enough curiosity to give another ...

I love Paris Hilton! I think shes one of the sexiest women on the planet. Thats the only reason I decided to watch this movie. Ive seen other celebrity sex tapes and my expections for video quality and camera angles in this on are not very high. Theres some good bonus scenes from other Redlight District movies, but Im only covering the lovely Paris. Ill be rating each scene on a scale of 1 to 10(keeping in mind its an amateur video) Ten is a perfect score.

Yet another celebrity tape has been released this time featuring Hilton fortune heiress and star of the Fox reality show The Simple Life Paris Hilton.

Audio/Video:
1 Night in Paris is presented with an English 2.0 Mono track, which is more than is necessary for the feature film. The audio in the segments is completely raw and no attempt has been made to clean it up. During portions the television can be heard in the background and you can hear the camera being moved. There are also places where the audio dips low in places. Red Light District hasn't included any foreign language tracks or any subtitles for the feature film on the disc.

1 Night in Paris is presented in the full screen aspect ratio of 1.33:1, which is the original aspect ratio for the feature film. The video quality varies throughout the film. Some portions are nice and clear, some portions are slightly grainy and other portions are very grainy. There are also some portions that have haloing to the color. There are only a few spots where this is bad and really noticeable though. Overall for a truly amateur production done on standard consumer equipment the video isn't that bad and is better in places than I expected it to be.

Although most of the footage from the original internet version is intact here, there are two portions of missing footage. There is some outdoor non-sex footage that has been excised from this version along with some footage of Paris Hilton on the couch showing her pussy that has also been excised. All together the footage doesn't amount to much time that has been cut, I'd say around two minutes in total and most people won't care about the outdoor footage, but the footage of Paris inside may be missed.

Special Features:
Red Light District proudly totes this release as a collector's edition two disc set and given that one would expect some extras that relate to the feature film. That isn't the case here as none of the supplementary material relates to the feature film. The only extra included on the disc with the feature film is the bonus footage. The bonus footage consists of four scenes from other Red Light District releases. The first scene from Breakin' 'Em In 6 with Randi Wright and Erik Everhard runs for 22 minutes. The second scene from Two in the Seat 3 with Monica Sweetheart, Brian Pumper and Dick Delaware runs for 18 minutes. The third scene from Just Over Eighteen 3 with Taylor Rain, and Lee Stone runs for 12 minutes. The fourth and final bonus scene is from Cum Drippers 6 with Teagan and Erik Everhard and runs for 25 minutes. The second disc, titled Red Light District Sampler 2, contains 67 previews for various Red Light District titles. Given the premium price that Red Light District has chosen to charge for this title along with the fact that it is labeled as a 2 disc set and the disc with the movie is only a DVD 5, Red Light District could have included some extras that relate to the feature film. They could have included the original internet version, with the night vision portion unmanipulated and the cut portions still intact. They could also have included any footage that might be in the softcore version that might not be in this one. Something to justify the collector's edition tag on the box.

[ /image ] --> Disc Design/Navigation:
The disc is designed with animated menus with background music that look nice. It's too bad that Red Light District didn't or couldn't license The Penfifteen Club's song Ms Hilton for the menus as that would have fit the disc well. There are four chapters available from the chapter menu for the feature film. Each one is identified by a video clip from where the chapter goes to. There are six chapters within the feature film itself. There is a time code encoded on the disc for the feature film. Red Light District has included a watermark in the bottom right hand corner of the screen through the film and through the bonus footage. The watermark is a transparent picture of their logo and even though it is not as distracting as some watermarks, it will bother viewers that hate a watermark.

General Review:
What's the allure with celebrity sex tapes? Is it seeing your favorite celebrity engaged in intercourse, is it seeing something that was never at first intended to be viewed or is it that celebrity sex tapes might just be the last bastion for truly amateur adult films left? The answer is probably a little bit of all three. Prior to the release of 1 Night in Paris, Pam & Tommy Lee: Hardcore and Uncensored was the top selling celebrity tape. I expect that ultimately this one will end up outselling it. Plus I expect that Red Light District's choice to release this film just before the premiere of The Simple Life 2 will help boost it's sales.

1 Night in Paris originally saw the light of day in late 2003 when a clip of the night vision portion that ran short of three minutes got released all over the internet. In early 2004 Rick Saloman premiered the at that point untitled film on his website with a run time of 38 minutes featuring the night vision portion and the color portion. Now Red Light District has secured the rights to release the film on home video and has released the film in a hardcore version that is 63 minutes long and a softcore version that appears to run for approximately 40 minutes. This review is on the hardcore version of the film only. This version has been edited slightly differently than the internet version and there has been some footage added. There are now introductions to the various scenes from Rick, where basically he just strokes his own ego, a segment of pussy eating has been added to the film and a brief collage of footage from a night club has been added. However, some footage has been removed from the film as well. There was some non-sex outdoor footage that has been expunged from this version along with some footage of Paris Hilton on the couch showing her pussy.

[ /image ] --> The night vision portion has also been modified from it's original greenish color to black and white. Being in black and white it is easier to watch but portions are very grainy, which might have come from the modification process. The camera work varies throughout the film. Portions of the film are shot hand held by Rick and Paris, which are very shaky and don't always stay on the object of interest. Other portions are done with a stationary shot, which are actually rather well framed considering that both participants are included in the action at the time. Obviously with this type of set up the shots are not ideal for what some viewers might be looking for and some of the sex acts become more implied than graphic.

As far as the sex scenes go, both Paris and Rick are obviously enjoying themselves during the duration of the film. Paris is obviously aware of the camera during the film but she doesn't fixate on it and seems to be mostly naturally playful despite it's presence. Rick on the other hand fixates on the camera staring at it frequently instead of Paris and playing to it during the sex scenes acting like he is a bonafide porn star instead of just playing around with his girlfriend. This detracts from the film and ultimately I think the film would have been better off if a different boyfriend had taped it, one that wasn't so full of himself. Despite this, the sex scenes look good and are enjoyable to watch. In some portions of the film, most notably when Rick is eating Paris's pussy and the color sex scene, the action is partially obscured by furniture or the participants body parts. Other portions, like the blow job scene at the end, show the action really well and nothing is left to the imagination. The sexual themes in the film are vaginal sex with blow jobs, pussy eating, hand jobs and male masturbation. For viewers that care about condom use, Rick doesn't use a condom during his play with Paris.

Parting Thoughts:
Ultimately this is not a film that your average adult film fan will just want to pick up. Fans of Paris Hilton will either want to purchase the title or at the very least rent it but viewers who don't find her to be attractive will be left wondering what the attraction to the film is. Because of the camera angles in some places this film ends up being more of a novelty item than a jerk off film. However, for fans of Paris, the blow job scene at the end of the film alone makes this title worth watching.
