Directed by Laurent Sky

Overall Impression
Considering the fact that I was blown away by Laurent's "Fetish: The Dreamscape" I had seriously high hopes for this second installment in his new series from Ninn Worx. Sadly Sky's follow up left me hugely disappointed.

Are You Human just does not deliver the same caliber of visuals. Laurent also seems to indulge penchant for the bizarre and strange a lot more in this one, with much less success in my opinion. The sexual heat and apparent chemistry between the performers is not there, plus the camera work is not as strong. I also missed the abundance of female eye contact that was present in the first one. Even the tease sequences fall way short compared to "Dreamscape".

Scene 1 Alexis Amore
This scene takes quite a long time before the sex starts. First we are forced to endure a number of relatively abstract visuals of Lex Steel spinning in a chair, an old dude spinning a metal globe, Amore holding signs ect. I'm all for a little artistic license and experimentation, (I'm probably more tolerant of it than most porn fans) but this stuff was just a boring mood-kill for me. What I did like was Amore's outfit which was a fine choice. This big breasted Latin did look good here as she sported a red fishnet top and a pair of hot red fuck-me boots as well as several piercing including a nice flower shaped diamond encrusted clitoral piercing. However the sex is relatively average in my opinion, plus no anal action to be seen. Not what I was expecting in an Alexis & Lex pairing.

Scene 2 Wanda Curtis, Nikki & Patricia Diamond
Once again Sky opts to use more bizarre visuals to introduce the scene, as well as use them as a background to the sexual action. This time we get a midget and an extremely obese naked woman gorging herself with food while siting in a crate like tub as she masturbates. I'm sure there is an ultra small percentage of porn fans out there that get of on these kinds of visuals, but it pretty much instantly killed my erection. Eventually Nikki and Wanda join Patricia and help the mojo situation a little with some a nice all girl threesome. There is a lot of fingering in this scene, plus some decent energy.

Scene 3 Chole Dior
Let me first point out that I love this girl. I've been a huge fan since watching her in "The Voyeur #23". The blue eyed beauty has a wonderfully curvaceous body with an ass to worship and a great pair of man-mades. For my money this is easily the best scene of the disc. This is one tease scene that is done well. I certainly enjoyed watching her show of her outfit and getting herself off. The main sex sequences have some thing working for it and some things working against it. After some nice BJ footage the sex gets fast and furious. There is some great energy here from Dior, as she thrust that luscious frame of hers against her partner. I also thought the rotating platform was a nice touch. However despite Dior's excellent performance, Sky just takes the quick edits way to far. The other huge disappointment for me was the lack of anal and no facial. As much as I liked the scene the sex was a little on the rough side for my tastes, not so much in a physical sense but more so in attitude as well as overdoing the name-calling. In many was it was to bad because this scene could have easily been so much more.

Scene 4 Wanda Curtis, Nikki & Patricia Diamond
This scene feels very much like a continuation of scene number two just add one luck stud to the mix. For the most part I found this scene to be fairly average, but with some nice highlights. For example it starts of with some nice BJ footage, as well as a few nice moments as we watch Nikki get a good rogering. Nikki is the only one to see any real action by the way, one of the problems with this 3on1.

Scene 5 Ashley Long
Long looks as hot as she ever has in this 2on1. Some interesting props in this one, as well as some creative positions and shots. If your a long fan there is no reason not to enjoy this scene. She also puts in some DP work here.

P.S. There is a scene at the end of Sky's interview that I found absolutely hilarious as a reviewer. His male talent is fucking some kind of a "real" doll in the mouth and director Sky shouts out instructions to his stud to tell his sex doll to "review this fucker" "review this".

Final Thoughts
Sky certainly knows how to present these women in an appealing manner as far as hair and makeup go, plus he lights a scene beautifully and definitely frames a nice shot now and then. Plus he seems to have original and effective wardrobe ideas. All of these qualities are no surprise given his impressive resume as a photographer. However he fails to capture the same kind of sexual heat this time around, gets to wacky with some of his setups, does not deliver the same kind of hardcore, and leaves us with one anal scene out of five compared to 3of5 in the last installment. (I don't think a lack of anal sex necessarily deserves demerit points for a film, but given the cast of anal pros i.e. Curtis, Nikki, & Dior plus the abundance of anal in the first "Fetish" I think it should lose points for a lack of consistency) Once again the second disc which is supposed to be an alternate "Hardcore" edit is really just unedited raw footage without music, but with the constant interruption of the directors instruction. A second hardcore edit is a great idea if only they would do it right. It is to bad there is a lot of potential in this 2 disc set, but in the end it falls flat especially when compared to its predecessor.

Although I didn't love this one I do give credit to Sky for at least trying to deliver an innovative product and a unique style to the porn viewing public. I'm still looking forward to his next project.
