The Technical Stuff

Audio /Video Quality: As usual with compilations, theres a little variation to the technical aspects. Since all of the scenes here are from fairly recent Smash releases, however, there isnt a lot of variation. The audio is okay, and has a few background noises and a few balance problems. The video is clear and pretty well done, with a bit of camera motion and lighting inconsistencies.

Music: The music is pretty well done. Its fairly well balanced and has an urban style that works well for the black theme of the compilation.

Menus: The Main menu is nicely done, and works together a bit of animation with a still and a couple clips from the movie. The chapter menu is nicely done as well, and lets you choose a scene based on a small clip of each scene and the name of the girl(s) in it. Theres also a positions menu which lets you go directly to specific sex acts such as blowjobs, doggy style, and cumshots.

The Feature

Bounce returns for a second installment of the darker side of Smash. The scenes all focus on black on black action, and go from scene to scene without identifying either who the stars are or where the scenes come from.

Scene 1 - Diamond, Hazel, Devlin Weed, and Marc Anthony

The opening scene comes from the original Booty Climax. The camera work continues to be limited, right along with the lighting, and if they were done better Im sure this scene would have been one heck of a smoking scene. The scene also suffered a bit by having the action limited to only two fuck positions in nearly a half hour. Despite its problems, I got into this scene quite well and almost all of the credit for that goes to Hazel.

Scene 2 - Tyra Banx and Mr. Marcus

The next scene comes from Booty Climax 3. Bounce 2 is a good compilation with a couple minor problems. For the good part, I like how Smash has spread themselves out both regarding the age of the scenes and the movies they came from. Although it would have been easy to pull a couple of scenes from the same movie here, no movie appears twice. Unlike some of Smashs other recent compilations, the scenes come from movies that may be a few years old, such as the original Booty Climax from 2002 and Busta Nut 1 from 2003. Therein likes some of my problem. Although Smash does a very nice job identifying the female talent in the chapter menu, theres nothing on the DVD to let the viewer know where the scenes originally came from. This is compounded by both listing a director for the compilation as well as going with name changes for some of the stars. I have no problem with listing a director here, but then list it with the names of the original directors. People like Martin Del Toro and Jordan Septo have a good following, and D. Sparky is well known for his black on black work. Let those names work for the movie rather than making up a name where it looks like these are all new scenes. I also realize that Mika Brown changed her name to Havana Ginger, but going with her more recent name here makes it look like it might be a new scene with her. Theres a part of me that also has some reservations about how the cover looks just like any other Smash release, but those reservations are much less here than for some of Smashs other recent compilations just because it is a sequel to a compilation. Still, it would be nice to see Smash putting something on the cover to let new viewers know that theyre getting a compilation. A simple Best of above the Smash logo would do this very easily while still keeping the extremely well done covers that have so often caught all three of my eyes. Smash has put together a nice collection of scenes with Bounce 2, but I dont care for some of the details about how they put out this compilation.

Bounce 2 is another nice collection of Smashs black on black action, but at just over an hour and a half I think its a tad short and I have some reservations about how its presented. The technical aspects are above average, but there isnt much effort put into the extras. This is an okay compilation release.
