The Technical Stuff

Audio /Video Quality: The technical aspects are pretty good. The audio is clear and well balanced, and although there are a couple background noises they do fit in with the locations. The video is pretty well done. It has a soft look which at times was a little too soft for me, but was consistent throughout the movie. The lighting was nicely done throughout the entire movie, although the final scene seemed just a touch darker. There werent any other problems though, such as camera motion or fast pans and zooms.

Menus: The main menu is very likeable and combines a bit of animation with a still. The chapter menu is also very nice. After choosing a girl based on her photo and name youre taken to another menu which lets you choose where in the scene youd like to go sexually.

Teen Idol returns for its third installment here. Each scene has a lead-in for a teenage girl, from detention to getting caught with their boyfriend where they shouldnt.

Scene 1 - Michelle Maylene and Talon

Teen Idol 3 is a pretty good barely legal movie. The girls are all cute, and look to be barely legal rather than seeing how young they can look or trying to see if they really can get a camera and a good makeup person to take fifteen years off them. The clothes in the movie also help things, and go with realistic outfits with things like tennis shoes rather than going with porno pumps and one outfit with a few variations through the movie. Lynn Pleasant and Mindy were easily my favorites here, while Elisha Winters scene didnt do a lot for me. Mike Metropolis continues to show that hes a director who should be getting a heck of a lot more attention than he should, and does a very nice job with the scenes. The scenes were nicely done, and often had a good sense of humor while also bringing in a little chemistry. Teen Idol 3 didnt work for me quite as well as the others in the series, but still comes off as one of my favorite barely legal series out there.

The Extra Stuff

The photo gallery lasts about two minutes with roughly five seconds per very nice looking snapshot. Theres also a behind the scenes featurette, weblinks, and the ability to watch the movie with or without the storylines.

The behind the scenes featurette lasts nearly twenty minutes. Elisha starts things out showing off and doing a few jumping jacks before chatting with the camera dude. Currently, many Smash DVDs can be found online for between $14 and $24 with most stores offering them in the $20 range. Id aim for the low end here. The girls are cute and theres some good sex, but it just came off a little weaker than Smashs other movies. The technical aspects are pretty good, and theres some nice effort put into the extras. This is a pretty good movie on a nicely done DVD.
