The Technical Stuff

Audio /Video Quality: The technical aspects are pretty good. The audio is normally pretty clear, but there are a few hollow spots and a couple balance problems where the dialogue is hard to make out. The video is okay. Its a touch soft, and almost has a film-like feel. Its quite a bit softer than Im used to for Evil Angel movies, which makes me think that Christoph probably wanted it to look like this. The lighting is slightly inconsistent, but not so much that there are shadows to plague the production.

Menus: The main menu, as usual, provides a little animation with a bit of the movie and stills for a very nice first impression. The chapter menu lets you choose a scene based on a small clip of each scene and the names of the ladies in it.

The Feature

On her first trip to Budapest, as well as Europe, Tiffany Mynx decides to look up Steve Holmes. Regardless, even as the weakest scene in the movie, its still a pretty hot scene.

Christoph Clark breaks back in the world of adult features with Obsession amazingly well. The plot isnt heavily done, but it works very well for setting up the scenes and better yet, works through the scenes. I love how Steve restrains Tiffany through most of the movie and lets her grow little by little in her sluttiness going from putting on a little show to sucking cock to taking on Silvia to the group scene at the end. The two of them are great in their roles, and really do drive the movie well. Tiffany does a great job going from being a little shy and unsure at the start to the full blown slut at the end, and plays the transition little by little rather than having it happen all of the sudden. Obsession isnt a heavy feature like those put out by the so-called couples companies, but it shows that a little story can go along very well with the sex, and often enhance it. Christoph Clark put together a great cast for Obsession, and in the end its one of the hottest features Ive seen in a very long time.

The Extra Stuff

The extras are spread over both DVDs. The first DVD keeps things fairly basic with a cast listing by scene, a bio for Christoph Clark, and filmographies for Katy Caro, Sarah James, Sabrina Rose, Tiffany Mynx, Valentina Velasques, Silvia Saint, Mandy Bright, Katsumi, and Vanessa Hill. The second DVD contains cumshot recaps and extra footage, as well as a photo gallery and trailers. The photo gallery contains roughly eighty great looking snapshots. Steves scene with Katy and Mandy is featured next, and nicely combined with an interview with Steve about his role in the movie. Theres also a few short clips of the other scenes being shot as well as short takes of other things happening throughout the making of the movie.

This is an exceptional behind the scenes featurette. It does a great job mixing together the scenes being shot, the cast and Christoph prepping for the scenes, and a few nice interviews. As usual, Christoph comes across as being very passionate about his movies as well as somebody who really cares about the talent. He also shows himself to be somebody who will go to almost any length to try to get what he wants across to the talent while also keeping the set as enjoyable as possible. I also liked the interviews about working with Christoph through the years, but I think the main thing that struck me about the featurette was the editing (done by Richard Banks). This is the only time Ive watched a behind the scenes featurette and thought Damn! Whoever edited this thing together really did a fantastic job!, and I thought about it not just once but many time throughout it. Its good enough that I couldnt help but wish that it would have lasted much longer so that more time could be given to the other scenes as well, but at the same time I can understand it due to the language barrier. This is a fantastic behind the scenes featurette that really deserves to be watched.

Currently, most of Evil Angels DVDs can be found online for between about $18 and $30, with a few stores offering them in the $20 range. At the low end, this ones a no-brainer. The sex is darn hot, and the plot works into it nicely. The technical aspects are a little softer than I expected, but theres some nice effort put into the extras. This is a very good double DVD release that I cant help but highly recommend.

An eye-catching release such as a Christoph Clark double dvd deserves a review - especially when the cover and trailer feature an assembly of chicks so hot that you think you're in for the one of the great gangbang finales in porn history.
