Jenna J. Ross definitely did this for me, and had me in awe through the first scene. When I commented at how amazing she was on Twitter while watching the movie, Jacky St. James quickly commented back on her being without question one of the most underrated performers in the biz, and even that seems like an understatement with the performance she gives here. I've seen plenty of ?superstars? that at their best didn't come halfway to the performance Jenna gives here. Dahlia Sky keeps things going just as well with Alec, and the two of them play the seduction every bit as well as they do the passionate sex. Although Jenna J. Ross might surprise people with her scene, Maddy O'Reilly turning out a fantastic performance should come as a surprise to nobody by now. I have yet to be disappointed by this lady, and she turns out yet another great performance with plenty of hints of great things still to come from her. Finally there's Vanilla DeVille, who ends the movie every bit as well as Jenna starts it. I love her talk with Brad about her fantasies and the emotional groundwork she lays for the entire scene with it. There's plenty of chemistry and energy to go with her acting ability once she gets busy with Brad, and with performances like this I'm surprised to not see her in more features (or more movies period). Through it all, the talent behind the camera seems to do every bit as solid of a job as the talent in front of it. The stories are very well done with some nice development to set things up, just as one would expect from Jacky St. James. The camera work is Eddie Powell's typical solid and artistic style, and it's all drawn together very nicely by the extremely talented editing of Gabrielle Anex. The Family That Lays Together may work around a subject many think is wrong, but everything about this release is done right. The Extras: The behind the scenes featurette lasts about twenty four minutes and features Jacky chatting with the cast and always giving them a chance to talk about their fans and how their fans can find them. Jacky and Vanilla start out chatting about being excited to work with each other again, her sexual fantasies, and different subjects around the industry such as working with different guys and her journey into the industry. Brad joins Vanilla for another chat after the scene about working together and how much they enjoyed each other. Mark chats about being in his sixteenth year in the industry, taboo scenes, and working with Maddy O'Reilly. Maddy shows up next to talk about doing taboo scenes, her sexual fantasies, and why people are drawn to the Tabu Tales line. Xander talks about the turn-on of the family taboo, what he enjoyed about the scene, and his fans.
