The Technical Stuff

Audio /Video Quality: The technical aspects are pretty good. The audio is pretty well balanced and clear, and although it didn't feel like anything too special it also didn't show any deficiencies. The video is nicely presented in anamorphic widescreen. It's clear and well lit, and barely showed any camera motion (intentional or unintentional).

Music: There's a bit of music to start out the scenes which is nicely balanced with the rest of the audio. It helps to start the scenes out and then wisely drops out.

Menus: The main menu is rather unimpressive, and just gives a still of Eden with a little generic background animation. The chapter menu shows a bit of care, and lets you choose a scene based on a small clip of each scene and the MILF in it. There's also a star index which lets you choose a scene based on a each girl's name and photo.

The Feature

Mommie Dearest collects five scenes with older women. Each scene normally starts out with a hint of a tease before getting to the action.

Scene 1 Ciera Sage and Jay Lassiter

Partially bottle blonde Ciera starts her scene out in a chair by a pool playing with her pussy around her black panties as Jay walks up on her from behind and then stoops down to rub her tits. This is a solidly above average scene, and makes it that far simply because Ciera and Jay look like they're having a great time while everybody behind the camera doesn't seem like they care that much about it.

Scene 2 Payton Leigh and Dane Cross

Surprisingly, Payton was the only person involved in the scene who didn't seem to need some Geritol.

Scene 3 Morgan Reigns and Mikey Butders

Sadly, that feeling doesn't keep up throughout the entire scene due to the continued lack of care from behind the camera, the lackluster editing, and a break for Mikey to lose what was some pretty good wood. Morgan looks great through the scene and does a nice job trying to be vocal enough to keep everybody awake behind the camera, but once again I'm not sure how well she succeeded. Thanks to Morgan's enthusiasm this one might make it to the average mark, but that's the only reason it makes it that far.

Scene 4 Miss Bunny and

Miss Bunny, an older woman with her hair dyed bright red, starts her scene out in a black skirt and a pink button-down shirt that she happily opens up so her sexy black and pink bra can poke out before laying back to rub herself through her black panties. Scene 5 Eden DeGarden and Jay Lassiter

As for Eden and Jay, they're all over the place working each other over with plenty of energy and some very nice vocals. This is a surprisingly great scene, and more like what I normally expect from Axel Braun.

Mommie Dearest barely makes it to the average mark. It starts off very slow with uncaring camera work and lackluster editing squashing the first three scenes until Miss Bunny and Eden De Garden finally break loose to turn out a pair of really hot scenes with chemistry that can't be held back. Their two scenes almost makes this one worth renting, and with how well she did in her scene and how hot she is I'm truly amazed that Eden didn't get the cover on this release. As this is an Axel Braun movie you're guaranteed a couple Jay Lassiter scenes, and I couldn't help but wonder if some of the problem behind the camera is because Axel owes Jay money and is helping to pay him off by hiring him even though he's bored as hell watching him fuck. Dane Cross seems like he might also be in this category as he brought absolutely nothing other than a fresher face to his scene, but at least Jay redeemed himself in his scene with Eden. Mommie Dearest has a nice range of looks and some hot older women, but two great scenes is not enough to make that worthwhile a movie when the others struggle to get to the average mark and sometimes don't even make it that far.

The Extra Stuff

The photo gallery lasts a little over four and a half minutes with about six seconds per good looking snapshot or full screen photo. There's also commercials and a behind the scenes featurette.

The behind the scenes featurette lasts a little under fifteen minutes. Axel starts out having a little fun with Dane and Payton before chatting with a cum faced Payton about sex. The Bottom Line:

Currently, many of VCA's DVDs can be found online for between about $15 and $30 with a few stores offering them for under $20. Rent this one first. The last couple scenes are darn good, but the rest of the movie is pretty much a snooze-fest. The technical aspects are above average, and there's a bit of effort put into the extras with a fun behind the scenes featurette. This one barely makes it to the average level.

Note to VCA: If you're going to hire a director with as much potential as Axel Braun, give him a little freedom to do his thing. This release screams of him being squashed with corporate crap.
