Running Time: 60 min. Production Date: 11 / 20 / 1997 Director: Mike Horner Cast: Jill Kelly, Jacklyn Lick, Anna, Brooke Waters, Candy Hill, Brad Armstrong, J. J. Michaels, Joel Lawerance, Mike Horner, and Brian Surewood Initial Expectations: Taoist Sexuality sounds interesting and I hope it is. Initial Reaction: Its a very interesting way to look at sex and a decent feature. Who Should Watch It : Anybody looking for a new perspective on sex. Who Should Avoid It: People looking for just sex without anything else or with a plot. Audio /Video Quality: The audio is very clear and well balanced. You cant hear most of the sexual sounds, but that isnt the purpose of this feature. The video has some pixelation and a slight grain. Music: The music is very calm and soothing. Menus: The menus are very simple but get the job done. The Feature: Taoist Sexuality is a very different feature and one that isnt easy to put into words. At the start, Mike and a woman whose voice I dont recognize give an introduction into Taoism and the elements as well as what will be taught in the feature. Later Mike even gives a few translations from western descriptions of sex and sexual parts into the Chinese translations. The five elements, water, wood, fire, earth, and metal are covered one by one with the elements significance to sexuality. Water is the first element covered and is done by Mike Horner and Brooke Waters. Water shows some of the flowing between partners. They demonstrate a breathing exercise and a motion exercise for between lovers. Throughout the scene, Taoist sexuality is explained, first as Brooke gives Mike a blowjob and as they sixty- nine alongside a river. The water is included throughout the scene and is almost always visible. Mike also uses language dealing with water while talking about the sex, such as Swimming his tongue into his vagina. Its an interesting scene with some good lessons in it. The next element covered is wood. After a little information about wood, a stretching exercise is shown with Joel and Anna, since wood has to do with stretching and flexibility. Joel and Anna then have sex in the hollow of a tree as the narrator talks about the importance about having sex in nature, strengthening the bond between the two. Once again its an interesting concept and one that I dont think many westerners think about. Of course, as Joel and Anna demonstrate, if youre going to have sex outside, bring a blanket. Several positions are also demonstrated as well as giving a little information about the significance of the position. Fire heats up the next scene. Rather than having Beavis and Butthead in this scene, which would give it a completely different feel, Brad Armstrong and Jill Kelly are featured. A breathing exercise is demonstrated as well as showing Brad and Jill slapping themselves over their entire body and rubbing each other. The tongue can also be used for the slapping remembering that fire is quick as one licks. With fire, one should remember that the sex should be hot and fast, as fire itself is. The next element covered is earth with Brian Surewood and Candy Hill. As with some of the other elements, a stretching exercise is first demonstrated before the intercourse is described with reference to earth. Earth and sexuality is very grounded (no pun intended) and connected where you work to get into your partners core. Finally, metal is covered with J. J. Michaels and Jacklyn Lick. Metal is more of a martial art style in some ways, and the partners start out by hitting their arms against each other in a bone on bone motion. The intercourse is driving and pounding, strong like metal. The sex starts out with the woman on top, stopping at the top and or bottom of her stroke like melting metal. Next, the man is on top of the woman like a jerky mechanical man. The sex is not flexible, just like metal. Taoist Sexuality is very interesting in many ways. The subject is an interesting and different way to look at some sexual practices. The main themes of the feature point out that the positions normally arent important, but the action and energy level is. The feature is also very interesting. As an educational feature, its extremely graphic. The focus is, however, on the education rather than the sex and no cum shots are shown. A lot of the feature is every bit as graphic as the normal porno yet the narration and music dominate the audio. It keeps the feature interesting blending the message with the sex which should keep most everybody interested. There are even real credits at the end so you can know who everybody in the feature. Extras: Bios are included for Brad Armstrong, Brooke Waters, Jacklyn Lick, Jill Kelly, and Mike Horner. Theyre well done and give good information. The photo gallery is manual and contain a mix of about twenty snapshots and full screen pictures. Trailers are included for Caribbean Undercover, Devoured , The Collector , The Ultimate Experience , and Taboo of Tarot . Finally, theres internet access. Themes: Straight and education Raincoat Factor: Low Overall: Currently, Taoist Sexuality can be found online for between $10 and $23 with several stores offering it for under $15. If youre looking for a little different sexual perspective its probably worth the money. As with most educational styled features, there arent many extras, but the transfer is pretty good. Note to Adam & Eve: This is a nice addition to some of your educational lines. Its interesting and yet it stays very sexual. Good job. If you have any questions or comments, please e- mail me . |
